Insight Yak ("we," "us") provides a marketing analytics platform for small and mid-sized businesses. This policy describes how we handle information on this website and in the Insight Yak application, which is currently in private alpha.

Information we collect on this website

This website is informational. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell personal information. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your name, email address, and message) and use it only to respond to you.

Information we process in the Insight Yak application

When a business becomes an Insight Yak customer, it authorizes us — through secure, industry-standard OAuth connections — to access its marketing and analytics accounts (for example, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Google Search Console) for the sole purpose of providing our analytics and recommendation services to that business. In doing so:

• We access only the data scopes each customer authorizes, and a customer can revoke access at any time.
• Each customer's data is stored separately and is never shared with, or visible to, any other customer.
• We do not sell customer data, and we do not use one customer's data to provide services to another.
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access credentials are stored in a dedicated secrets-management system.
• When a customer leaves, their data and stored credentials are deleted upon request or per our retention schedule.

Google API Services — Limited Use disclosure

Insight Yak's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide and improve the analytics features the customer has requested, and is never used for advertising or sold to third parties.

Service providers

We use a small number of infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting, authentication, and error monitoring services) to operate the platform. They process data on our behalf under their own security and confidentiality obligations.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting us. Customers can disconnect any linked account at any time, which stops further data collection from it.

We will update this page as the product evolves and note the date of the latest revision above.
